Things to discover in Sheffield (P.1)

Peak District
This was the UK's first national park, established in 1951 at a height of 300 metres above sea level. With gentle slopes, dense trees, vast savannah, beautiful mountains, and beautifully stacked rocks, you will have a wonderful day of picnics. Trekking and cycling are just a few of the outdoor activities available.

Because the Peak District is so large, most visitors arrive at Visitor Centers by bus or train and begin their journey there. Sheffield Bus Interchange is where you can catch bus 272. You can drive to bars along the way if you know how to drive and have a UK licence. However, because this is a mountainous area, the terrain is much narrower and more dangerous.

Winter Garden
For over a century, the Winter Garden has been one of the largest greenhouses in the UK, with over 2500 species of plants from all over the world. A transparent dome allows light to easily enter the garden, which is characterised by an arched pine structure. Stepping inside on a cold winter day will make you feel as if you are in a warm tropical garden with plenty of green trees to provide refreshment and relaxation. The garden is open to the public for free.

Botanical Garden
In 1836, the 19-hectare park with over 5000 tree species was first opened. The winding paths lead to more than 18 small gardens with a variety of themes. The Bear Pit, which is located between the Himalayan and Mediterranean gardens, is popular with visitors. A vintage Victorian rose garden and an Evolution garden with a 312-million-year-old fossil tree are also available.

Thompson Road entrance – S11 8RB & Clarkehouse Road entrance – S10 3LN. There are many buses coming here, bus number 6, 76, 38. The garden is open to the public for free.

Meadowhall
This is Sheffield's largest shopping district, with many well-known brands. You could spend an entire day here and still not see everything there is to see. Every time there is a sale, such as Black Friday or Boxing Day, a large crowd gathers to go shopping. However, because this location is quite far from the city centre, you will need to take the Yellow Tram or bus X1, X78 to Meadowhall Interchange, which will take 25-30 minutes.
